Shaftesbury, the real estate investment trust, has launched an interactive giving device, in association with Contactless Giving Week, to support the amazing Young Camden Foundation. The charity has been set up to support the children and young people within the borough of Camden, addressing longstanding and complex issues, such as digital poverty, youth safety and mental health.

The contactless donation point on Monmouth Street, Seven Dials will allow visitors to easily donate £3 to this worthwhile cause, which in turn will activate the lights to sparkle at the entrance of Neal’s Yard. The device has been developed by GoodBox who offer a range of digital fundraising tools and award-winning contactless technology solutions for the charity sector. Its innovative tools help charity partners to reach new donors in an increasingly cashless society, raise more funds and tell their stories more vividly.

Contactless Giving Week brings individuals, companies and not for profits across the UK together to support charitable campaigns and raise awareness of the importance of contactless giving. This year the week is from Dec 6th – 12th and as part of the week the interactive giving device will be available to Christmas shoppers in London.

GoodBox Co-Founder & Managing Director Francesca Hodgson says, “We are so pleased to be partnering with Shaftesbury to help promote and raise awareness of this important charity. The interactive device, in the heart of London’s West End, will help attract and encourage Christmas shoppers to donate to this worthy cause and also make the general public more aware of the importance of these devices to charities during Contactless Giving Week.”

Karen Baines, Head of Group Marketing & Communications at Shaftesbury, added: “Supporting the wider community and meaningful causes is extremely close to Shaftsbury’s heart so we are pleased to be an official partner of Goodbox for Contactless Giving Week 2021. This year’s Seven Dials charity, Young Camden Foundation, is a longstanding partner of ours so to be able to extend our support with this activation to raise funds and awareness of their work is fantastic.

Contactless Giving Week allows us another opportunity to give something back this festive season and invite our visitors and wider Seven Dials community to join us in supporting the important work of Young Camden Foundation.”
