Dental Beauty Partners, a rapidly growing dental group, has reached a major milestone by adding its 50th practice to its portfolio, thanks to Midlands-based law firm Shakespeare Martineau.

This achievement follows the acquisition of three mixed dental practices in Streatham, Teddington, and Clapham, boosting the group’s run rate turnover to over £100 million.

Since its inception in 2015 with a single site in Swanley, Dental Beauty Partners has expanded to 50 practices nationwide, employing over 1,000 colleagues and serving 65,000 patients, including NHS patients. With an impressive 73% compound annual growth rate, the group continues to thrive and has recently introduced a new orthodontics service.

Dev Patel, CEO of Dental Beauty Partners, expressed enthusiasm about the milestone: “Reaching 50 practices is a huge milestone for us, and we couldn’t be more excited about the future. These acquisitions highlight the success of our unique partnership model, where each practice is managed by a dentist who has invested in the practice.”

“2024 has been an extraordinary year for us as a group, and we are thrilled to be making a difference in the smiles of so many members of the community; not only have we delivered 100% of our NHS contracts, but we’ve also consistently significantly grown the private revenue in each site while maintaining an average 4.8 Google review rating across all sites.”

The company’s acquisition strategy, which focuses on partnering with dentists to manage each new practice, has been integral to its rapid expansion. This model aligns the interests of the practice’s management with the group’s overall growth goals, ensuring each practice thrives under local leadership while benefiting from the broader resources of the Dental Beauty Partners group.

Gemma Tyson, partner at Shakespeare Martineau who led the trio of recent acquisitions, said: “It’s been a privilege to work with Dental Beauty Partners since they had just one practice.

“Their growth has been impressive and the way they’ve structured their acquisitions—with each practice having a dedicated dentist partner—has proven to be a key factor in their success. This model not only encourages growth but also addresses recruitment challenges that many practices face. We look forward to continuing our partnership with them as they scale their operations even further.”

With the acquisition of these three new practices, Dental Beauty Partners continues to solidify its position as one of the fastest-growing dental groups in the UK, offering exceptional care and expertise to patients across London.

Also in the Shakespeare Martineau legal team were corporate lawyer Louise McDonald and commercial property experts Edward Moffat and Desh Patel. Hazelwoods carried out financial due diligence and provided financial and tax-based advice.
