Manchester entrepreneur Suzi Brown, founder of The Smart Bear, has been named one of 2025’s most impressive female entrepreneurs in the f:Entrepreneur #IAlso100 campaign. The campaign celebrates 100 inspirational women leading purpose-driven businesses across the UK, highlighting their achievements alongside their commitments to volunteering, mentoring, and community involvement.

Suzi is one of just two Manchester-based entrepreneurs selected for the prestigious list. She is being recognized for her groundbreaking work in revolutionizing digital design through sustainable and eco-friendly practices. By merging innovation with environmental responsibility, Suzi has positioned The Smart Bear as a leader in green web design, reflecting her commitment to creating a positive impact in both business and the planet.

The #IAlso100 campaign celebrates the multi-achievements of female founders who are shaping the future of business, with Suzi standing out for her dedication to sustainability and community.

Suzi is recognised for her commitment to making the internet a greener place, one website at a time.

Through The Smart Bear, she pioneers sustainable website design and development for small businesses and charities, leveraging green hosting solutions, optimised coding practices and energy-efficient technologies to ensure websites perform at their best while maintaining a minimal carbon footprint. This innovative approach addresses the growing demand from businesses and consumers for more sustainable digital practices.

On being featured in the #ialso100 lineup, Suzi said: “I’m thrilled to receive this accolade! It’s incredibly meaningful to be recognized by an organization that tirelessly champions small businesses and their invaluable contributions. This fabulous campaign has been a personal source of inspiration for me over the years, and to now be a part of it feels both humbling and exciting. I’m truly grateful for this acknowledgment and motivated to continue supporting the incredible work of small businesses everywhere.”

Launched in 2017 by Small Business Britain – the leading champion of small businesses in the UK – the f:Entrepreneur campaign aims to raise greater awareness of the impact of incredible female business owners across the country, and help provide inspiration and role models to the wider small business community.

The campaign offers a host of events, training, and networking opportunities to boost skills, capability, and confidence.
